166.4 - down like China TOWN!

I'm down 9 pounds on the doctors scale which ROCKS! Yesss!!

I have the shrink appointment on the 11th but on a call me fast list so I can get this stuff squared away... and the Nutritionist/Dietician on the 18th... and then, that's it. I'm so ready.

On the stranger side of life, I have an interview tomorrow, face to face which is exciting! Who knows what that will bring?!

Okay, that's it.

Get me this act for my birthday? Please?

So, I'm not necessairly a "closet" Britney Spears fan... but I have something to share with you that I've kept in the closet. HA HA HA! This gets good.

I do like Brintey much to my daughters delight, and even more enjoyment comes from her hard working impersonator Derrick Barry. I about "crapt" my pants when I saw him and it's just.... WOW!

He's been seen on America's Got Talent and before he or I die, I'd love to see him at La Cage... as Mz Spears. It's trip and a half, I swear, to see him go! He does his makeup better than any female I have ever SEEN!

Let me grab you a video... It's unreal!

So maybe - wishful thinking - he'd just somehow wind up in Boise and sing me something FIERCE! Yeah right, when I win the lotto@!

Get Fat!!

PEANUT BUTTER MARSHMALLOW TREATS

1 T. butter
1 (10 1/2 oz.) bag or 6 c. miniature marshmallows
6 c. Rice Krispies
2 tbsp. peanut butter

Melt butter in 3 quart saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows. Stir until melted and well blended. Stir in peanut butter. Stir in cereal until well coated. Press into greased 13"x9" baking pan. Cool, then cut into squares.

No weight change - Sleep Study....

I hated my sleep study. First things first. I have pictures, I will post them once I get the "slave" camera to upload them to the computer. It was a long night of awfully restless sleep.

They pasted me with this horrible glue soaked in Ether (early days sedative to knock folks out for surgery) and blew it dry... Can you say HIGH AS A KITE?! That was bad, laughing hysterically at next to nothing... But the tape removal and the hair pulling in the middle of the night - not by my lover but by the wires while I rolled around, were the worst. I still bear scars from the tape removal, and I'll suggest next time they pull my hair, at least give me some lovin' for it... GOSH!

I come home today, the CRABBIEST woman on the planet. No seriously. I tripped down the stairs, I have a welt on my face from tape... It's just been a day.

I'm going to interview for a job, and if I don't get that, I'm going to nail school to get my lisence so I can get out of the house a few days a week. I know I'm gonna get some tips at perfecting what I do and how to make things work perfectly... and then, get paid some really good money to do nails. Ideally, I'd like to work in a day spa or something. This is all up in the air still and school - to finish my lisence - is 2,500.00.... Could be worth it if I figure in a salon I can charge 40-45 a set...That's around 20 - 25 take home or if I rent a booth, I pocket it all and then just pay my rent.

All just ideas right now, but the interview I'm going to soon is right up my alley of expertise.

*sigh*

I'm done now.

"You were watching me!!"

I have a sleep study due tonight... so I'm gonna get my workout in now. Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep...

Seriously stressed here lately.

*sigh*

1930

61

As a 1930s wife, I am
Superior

Take the test!

Be Honest

Laugh Out Loud Funny

Thank you for my paranoid lifestyle

I just want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails over the past year. Thanks to you, I no longer open a public bathroom door withoutusing a paper towel.

I now bring plastic cups to all hotels so I don't have to drink from the glass ones that are wiped with potty gloves.

I always remove lemons and limes from my restaurants drinks for fear of getting e-coli.

I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one past time while driving alone is picking your nose (although cell phone use may be taking the number one spot).

Eating a Little Debbie sends me on a guilt trip because I canonly imagine how many gallons of transfats I have consumed over the years.

I can't touch any woman's purse for fear she has placed it onthe floor of a public bathroom. Yuck!
I must send my special thanks to whoever sent me the one about poop in the glue on envelopes, because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.

Also, I have to scrub the top of every can I open now, for thesame reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once Ireceive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me forparticipating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer eat KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants, even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish withinfive minutes.

Because of your concern, I no longer drink Coca Cola because itcan remove toilet stains.

I no longer can buy gasoline without taking someone along to watch the car, so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm pumping gas.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr. Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put 'Under God'on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

And, thanks for letting me know I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face... disfiguring me for life.

I no longer check the coin return on pay phones because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug mewith a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer shop at Target since they are French and don't support our American troops or the Salvation Army.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore and Uzbekistan.

I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus, since I now have their recipe.

Thanks to you, I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my butt.

And thanks to your great advice, I can't ever pick up $5.00 dropped in the parking lot, because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.

I can no longer drive my car because I can't buy gas from certain gas companies!

If you don't send this to at least 144,000 people in thenext 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, and the fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician...

Have a wonderful day.

Oh, by the way... A German scientist from Argentina, after a lengthy study, has discovered that people with insufficient brain activity read their e-mail with their hand on the mouse. Don't bother taking it off now; it's too late

The Diet

So, I've been asked as to what I am doing to get thin. I'll give you the diet the doctor gave me so you know what I'm doing to lose my weight so fast.

Breakfast
Dr Says: Protien Shake Only there are restrictions on the type. WHEY protien, no more than 120 calories per serving, super low fat, limited sugar
I Say: Two Egg Whites, One Yolk (on occasion) and two slices of turkey bacon with a 1/2 cottage cheese... yes, that's every morning almost.

Lunch
Dr Says: Salad, with vegetables, limited light dressing or fat free dressing. Include a protien such as tuna, chicken or salmon. (YUCK)
I say: Salad, loaded with cucumber and cauliflower, topped with a smidge of cheese for that cheat feeling, 1/2 chopped chicken breast or 1 whole boiled egg on top with Fat Free Ranch.

Dinner
Dr Says: Lean protien as mentioned above with a salad or green veggies, raw are best.
I say: Brussels, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots - any of those in a pair, steamed and seasoned to taste.

Eat for 15-20 minutes at a time no more than 2-3 times a day. NO FRUIT, NO BREADS, NO CHEESE, NO SKIN ON YOUR MEAT and NO DESSERT. Work out at least 30 minutes a day.

I occastionally eat a sugar free candy or two, guzzle tons of water or crystal light. The first few days are white knuckling it and whining, but you adjust, the results are fast and obvious and it becomes SO worth it.

167.4 - on my way down again!

I figured I would be. Yesterday's BBQ was not as tempting as I thought it could be, and I didn't do a darn thing out of diet character. YAHOO! I need to start readying the troops for religion today. ONE HOUR! ACK! Gotta scram - write more later!

Sweet Dreams

What is there not left to enjoy in this life after seeing a beautiful face like this and a body like a GREEK GOD!?

*faints*

The Butcher and The Party

I went to an activity tonight with the girls. The desire to see friends and be among those I loved was pretty strong so I went to lift my spirits. My spirits were low and this is why....

Faith, my darling almost 3 year old, makes me crazy - ohhhhh - 99.99% of the time. She's too sneaky, too fast, but too cute. Today - she chopped off half of her hair... HALF! So instead of having lovely pigtails for her pictures it's a bob. I'm so crumpled about it. I went to start cutting her hair myself when I had a melt down. The same theory applies to when you work in the medical field and your kid gets hurt. It's emotional being the parent of the patient/client.

We took her to the salon where they repaired it - I might touch it up tonight - and it was just .... a sad moment for mom.

But if you love my new blog layout - go visit this awesome lady who has them - she's LDS and they're beautiful!

http://www.leeloublogs.blogspot.com/

168.4 - so the same

I wasn't expecing a big change from yesterday but I'm testing a theory. I hope I'm right. There's the theory you shake up your diet one day a week to make the metabolism work differently. I had a jello sugar free pudding, two pieces of multi grain bread, and a sugar free yogurt on top of the normal eggs, chicken and salad. I hope there's enough shock there to kick start me into more poundage off.... The up three pounds is kind of startling.. but it will be back off soon. I think the shock thing worked!

I'm so foggy still. I took the Ativan last night to cool me down, but apparent'y I'm still too coll and need to go back to bed.... *YAWWWWWWWWWN*

I need to go outside somewhere witht he pups, some store... and try to sell them. I'm tired of pups now.

I'm sure to write something great and ineteresting later!

Yelo Man Returns Home

He was just up the street! The man lived across the street from the signs on our community mailboxes and called first thing this morning! YAY for Yelo!

I'll post more later!

Generally Emotional Today

It's been a rollercoaster day. As with most women, the hormone influxes are just unbearable for me at times and best controlled with Ativan. I won't lie. I feel like a monster inside sometimes and can hear the rational side of me hollering right back at it. I've moved several - and I mean several times in less than a year. We are in our 4th an final home - for hopefully the next 10 years or so - and I am trying to reteach myself that it's okay to rest, relax and unpack.

I've lived much of my life - married life - out of boxes. I knew I'd never be in one place for long, and to finally set down roots is frightening to me. It's a commitment to my marriage because Lord knows I don't want to carry a house on my own... I can't - and it's a commitment to being whole again.

The trip has been hard and shaky for me, to get to this point. I finally realize a lot of the things that are troubling me, are just that.... troubling.... ME. My weight, I am fighting so hard to get it under control. I am honestly weighing in every day so as to motivate myself to keep up with this rediculous diet. I keep thinking that thin, healthy and beautiful is ahead of me. I don't want to be the wife that's fat with a thin husband. I want his eyes to sparkle when he looks at me, and when we're intimate because he finds me irrresistable, not desperate.

Yep - I'm airing my dirty laundry.

I've had a few good blows to my self esteem during my marriage. Some of you know, some of you don't. People don't recover from what I've been through - repeatedly - all that fast, and I feel like I forgave so darn fast... that the forgetting should come before the forgive... that the forgive is because you can't remember it. I'm only human and I can't forget... but that's something God's gonna teach me to let go of - - Eventually. I'm stubborn and I'd rather carry my rocks for a while longer.

I'm preparing for so many office visits next month.

I'm afraid of being fat the rest of my life. I cannot do this. I have to be a healthier me, inside and out. It's the inside that's still taking work, but the outside - when finished - will help polish my insides.

Sorry to be such a drag... this wasn't a funny blog. Just honest. And I write it honest, no matter how bad it hurts to get it out. One day at a time to get through it. Just one day more...

My Twilight Friends

This is a song from a band call TV on the Radio - a song called Wolf Like Me

"Wolf Like Me"
Say say my playmate
wont you lay hands on me
mirror my malady
transfer my tragedy

Got a curse i cannot lift
shines when the sunset shifts
when the moon is round and full
gotta bust that box gotta gut that fish

My mind's aflame

We could jet in a stolen car
but i bet we wouldnt get too far
before the transformation takes
and bloodlust tanks
and crave gets slaked

My mind has changed
my bodys frame
but god i like it
my hearts aflame
my bodys strained
but god i like it

My mind has changed
my bodys frame
but god i like it my hearts aflame
my bodys strained but god i like it

Charge me your day rate
ill turn you out in kind
when the moon is round and full
gonna teach you tricks that'll blow your mongrel mind
baby doll i recognize
you're a hideous thing inside
if ever there were a lucky kind
it's you you you you

I know its strange
another way to get to know
you you'll never know unless we go
so let me show
you i know its strange another way to get to know you
we've got till noon
here comes the moon
so let it show you show you now

Dream me oh dreamer
down to the floor
open my hands and let them weave onto yours

Feel me, completer down
to my core open my heart
and let it bleed onto yours

Feeding on fever
down all fours
show you what all that howl is for

Hey hey my playmate
let me lay waste to thee
burned down their hanging trees
it's hot here hot here hot here hot here

Got a curse we cannot lift
shines when the sunshine shifts
there's a cure comes with a kiss the
bite that binds the gift that gives

Now that we got gone for good
writhing under your riding hood
tell your gra'ma and your mama too
it's true we're howling forever

Link to the music video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTy-e6qEWRE - it's super cheesy

165.4 - Life is like a box of chock-litts

And in all sincerity, I believe it.

Moving to Idaho has been a great experience, most of the time, for my family and I.

*By the way, did you catch my weight?! 10.5 pounds!!! YAHOO!!*

I'm happy to report I've got Yelo's information on a Wanted sign posted around my neighborhood and other 'hoods to show I'm looking for him. I couldn't find him yet, but might take another round later tonight when more folks are home. With the weekend coming, not sure who's gonna be home anyway.

More rabbit food. I think I'm growing tired of the same stuff day in day out... but I guess seeing as I started last Weds. evening, I think the results are outweighing the sweet tooth, so just to hang on a smidge bit longer... I'm hopeful.

I find that when I read a lot, my vocabulary in my inner train of thought - that usually derails 90% of the time - is really rather coherent, concise and well put together. Those inner brain things work out so well.

Jason told me that if nails isn't going to be lucrative to stop. I think I just need to concoct a plan to keep the kids in their toy room so they don't run all over my home destroying it while I try to contribute some money to the house. He's probably more mad that my dog is lost, the house got a minor thrashing last night, and the kids are wild as hell when I can't stay on top of them. That's it more than anything, I'm nearly sure.

What a horrible thing to have children who can't appreciate things yet. Getting closer, I promise. *that's me thinking outloud*

Today, I had to go replenish diet food as I had only really bought for a week, but stretched it the almost 9 days it is. More eggs, for the whites. More Cottage Cheese... for the puke factor. More salad to remind me that if I lived in a hole, no one would realize I was fat. More ranch, to remind me that if I baled hay for a living I would be super thin and BUFF. More sugar free Blue Bunny yogurt... just to reinstate the stupid rabbitt factor.

All in a days work... and I'm still about 6 hours away from night time.

Lord, please forgive my loud trains of thought. I know you derail me often so as to say "stop that..." but sometimes, it's great to laugh at myself, but even better to others. So if the pathway to hell is really paved with good intentions... I really intend to stop talking so much $#!t about celebrities and the Wipeout people... I wonder if my path to hell looks like the Yellow Brick Road?

Feeling Elton John here now...

By the way - completed the Eclipse this morning and felt like I was torn, but maybe because I've been there in her shoes. *my children are wildly screaming in the background...* Something to relate to.

I'm gonna go... Mutiny upon my hands. All these NEWBORN VAMPIRES running around...

*chuckles*

Until next time...

Two in One Day

I couldn't remember this myself if I tried, so I'm going to blog it because today was a day unlike any other. I'm not delusional, I promise, but I should be. Saint Lukes in a padded room sounds soo-oh-oh good right now.

Faith spilled RED Tylenol liquid on my bathroom carpet... yes, it left a mild stain. Those CHILDPROOF things - well they might be "child proof" but they're so not tornado FAITH proof. She's incredible.

I had kids hands in my cups of water all day, it just makes me sick to know they're putting their hands in their diapers and then in my cup... *GAG* This freaking diaper business needs to be done.

Aubrey muraled on my walls with a black crayon...

My Marilyn Monroe jewelry holder is toast... I'm pissed.

I've discovered that my nail business isn't lucrative. I lose more money while doing nails and after that I really can't claim anything for profit. Today, Aubrey dumped out two of my glitter acrylic powders and a nail prep/primer that I can't easily replace. It's mail order and not cheap. *pffffft*

Then, she covered herself and Faith in the new tube of mascara I bought only three days ago. This was the tube that made it the shortest amount of time before being smeared on an expensive designer purse, on a body, or on the furniture. Seriously. I was blown away.

While they were destroying my makeup, they got into Jason's baseball cards. Opened the unopened packs and scattered them everywhere. Seriously... does it get worse?

YOU BET!

Then - I keep asking Grace where Yelo is... she said he's sleeping. I said "alright" - so I go looking for him - Mandy (BFF) is still here - and he's not here. The last time Grace let him go potty she said he came in and went up the stairs. I can't imagine how he got out, but the silly dog who loves chasing birds is likely ambushing birds, much to Mandy's delight. My daughters are full on sobbing and praying rather loudly - hoping God hears them good - and wishing he comes home.

I hope he comes home. He's the only other lazy one in the house who would run with me and not moan about it... at least I couldn't tell. And when I had a bad day, he was good for comfort. Jason's going out to look for him now. I hope he finds my dog.... Otherwise it's WAR!

168.2 - Called Out!

*sigh*

Sooner or later, I figured Jason would throw it at me. Like he always does. I'm guessing I have a snitch somewhere reading the blog who's telling him about my celebrity crush because that whopped me in the face today.

"I'm going to be very thin soon..."
"Even if I said you were thin, you'd call me a liar and say 'I'm still fat' " he grumbled.
I just shrugged my shoulders and said, "So when are you going in for your vasectomy? You have no business making kids if I die."
He gave me the look of death and said, 'While you're out, why don't you have them tie your tubes?"
I scowled right back and said 'because it's a surgery for me, and outpatient for you, plus, you really have no business with any other kids if I die. Don't worry, you'll out live me!"
"And if I don't," he snapped "I bet you'll run off with Roger Huerta and who knows he doesn't want kids!?"
I blushed and laughed all in the same moment. I then started to laugh out loud, just loud loud loud. I said "FOR ONE! I'd have to look like an octagon girl for that to even remotely to have the slightest chance of happening. TWO!!! (I can't remember what I said but I know it was good) AND THREE!!! You're going to outlive me, I promise.' I continued to blush and giggle though. He called me out. The only real person I've had a serious crush on... and he's aware, and he's been in my presence when I was in H-I-S...

So - if this day couldn't be interesting enough with above said conversation, I seriosuly would be delusional. I woke up to getting yelled at that the dog had run off and I had to go get in my car and holler after him. Found him, thanfully and he felt bad for running off. I didn't have to do more than say "bad boy" seriously - that was it. Then the pups Grace had let out needed to eat, but they have to eat seperate or the little girl gets snippy and won't let the little boy eat. The little boy crapped on my linoleum, carpet and a dress all in a matter of moments. It's like he was running and crapping at the same time. So I had to clean carpet. Then there was a mutiny - like usual... I couldn't wait to disappear into my book.

TEAM EDWARD - my edward - in my mind, is a cross between my celebrity - maybe the body double for him, and Jude Law-ish... I don't know how else to describe it. But - I'd get bitten....

The Fog - 169.0

It seems strange to me to rouse myself and be in a fog, though today, I had both types. Mentally I was kind of unaware of things happening until I felt the pit hit the bottom of my stomach and outside, I could physically see the mist hanging low and sad on the ground. Fog was a first for me. You kind of wonder why it took so long to arrive. It's melancholy just as goodbye was.

My dad arrived Sunday afternoon, and much to my surprise, he talked with me a bit. Most of the time he's interested in Jason and doesn't bother to ask much about me. I guess he figures I'm always okay and gonna make it. It didn't take long before I really realized how quiet things are without my dad here. I think he's used to such a lifestyle - plus he's partially deaf from work - to realize that the "hollers" when he talks and uses "huh?!?!" to respond to 90% of what you say the first time.

Just one of those things.

We didn't do anything special. No trips to Boise, none to the Zoo, the mall even. My dad - well - we went to Wal-Mart, Costco, Target, and Wal-Mart again. The only other thing of note is we went to look at houses, sort of. I think I did more looking than he did.

But what's wierd now? He's set on moving here. I think he sees the quality of life, the people, the atmosphere that's here and wants that for he and my mom. Hesperia is nothing compared to the Treasure Valley. I feel like here, I have what I need at my fingertips - minus Disneyland - and the high concentration of Mormons here is just breathing something good to life in the air. You can't help but feel that... really.

Nobody is following though on coming for the pups. It's sad because they are going to be someones' companion - that's breed specific - and people, once hearing their sad stoy of resuce, fall though and don't take a dog. Good grief, could you imagine? I guess I can though... There's something in my head that still haunts me to this day. My dad told me when I was 18 "People aren't going to want used merchandise..." Though my pups and I are both "clean" now and getting a fresh start - myself now for 7+ years -, I'll remember that for the rest of my life.

Hopefully they won't remember much from their first 10 weeks of life, but someone who was willing to risk a lot to be humane and save lives. I hope karma comes back for this one. Maybe just once, to have something awesome happen because what character I put forward of not only being willing to save myself, but others too... maybe, and just maybe it will pay out.

PS - first Stephenie Meyer book finished last night shortly after midnight. 6 hours, cover to cover with interruptions... :) I'm going for the other two books today after I weigh in!

170.6 - My dad arrives today

So, first off - YAHOOOOOOOO! OOOOOOOOOH! OOOOOH! I'm down another pound! Almost 5 in three days. I don't know what the doc's office is gonna say when I'm down 10 in a week... I think telling me I can't motivates me to show anyone just how good I can.

Dad arrives today... should be interesting. He's definately a character.

Meet Dad

Let me explain his wardrobe... or lack thereof.

Generally, dad wears some safari hat with pins on it. The pins are; a Disneyland pin that has stitch on it with his nickname DOC in the middle and "Here comes trouble", a Canadian something or another pin, a Boyd's Bear Frog with a Santa hat on, and a moose Grace got him in Big Bear, California.
For as long as I can remember, my dad has worn scrub tops, bright scrub tops with frogs, iguanas, Coca-Cola bears, purple tie dye, etc under his engineer overalls. Seriously. I am showing proof below!
Tucked in the bib pockets of his overalls, he carries a cake decorators knife for which he scrapes things clean with and steals crap off of your plate, note pads, and 5 pounds of just stuff... I mean STUFF!!

To top it all off, his toes -for which he has operated on for ingrowns, so you know how HOT those are - hang out of flip flops year round... 'cept when driving a train. For real... No, really, I'm serious.

Not sure how long Dad's going to stay before making his Mecca to Canada... but Lord, between the pups, my dad, the kids, and my husband, I should be admitted to St. Lukes in Meridian sometime in the next 24 hours on a 51-50 hold... No need to send flowers, it's a vacation in it's self!

Google 51-50. It will explain VOLUMES!

*In all honesty, my dad is really awesome, in small doses.... Just peculiar beyond rational understanding.*

Linoleum Murals

While I was on the phone with Mandy - discussing everything that could have been talked about... Faith decided to Sharpie Marker a mural on my new kitchen floor. Yes, really. It was a series of faces she drew and a few scribbles from Aubrey for accent and flavor. Please do not relay the information to Jason - he does not know and the mural has been demolished!

We're working on trying to prosecute the jerk that sold us the puppy mill pups and find them new homes. I just want them to go to a place where I know they're gonna be okay, ya know? They've been through enough.

Poor scared pups...

I guess I'll start to word up a craigslist ad and see what I can get in response...

100 Posts as of this! 171.4

Okay, so I'm down almost another two pounds... total of nearly 4 in two days. I'm sure it's not healthy but it's what they gave me and what I'm doing.

The puppies I guess had an okay night. I made Jason sleep on the couch with the puppies in a crate Mandy brought *thank you* and I slept in the bed in our room. I need to get sleep and sad to say - when he and I aren't in the same bed, I do better... Maybe because he's not kicking me to wake up from all my snoring?

He said that the pups ate nearly 2 cups of food between the two of them this morning and have been going poo and pee - so that's good news. At least they're working now. Now to beefy them up!

I posted a help me ad on Craigslist to see if anyone would know what to do to help me save them... I got flagged for removal after two "bless your heart" emails. I betcha bucks it was another "miller" who flagged me for removal... Oh well

I guess we'll just try to figure it out.

One Hundred Posts... That's a lot of news in my life I guess, huh? Hopefully soon, I will get down the weight I need and then be in for the operation. I can only hope...

Until then - Be Fierce!

Golden Dreams Tarnished

So, Jason was so excited to get a Golden puppy. He called on it in the paper, so excited to meet the puppy and then we got Yelo. I nearly talked him out of even going to look after we got Yelo, but he just had to show up to make sure he didn't look like a mule.

Jason: "Amy! The guy said I can have one puppy for 145.00 or two for 200.00! Can I get them both?"
Me: "Ummm...." *LONG PAUSE - Thinking to self 'what's the matter if he keeps lowering their price?'*
Jason: "We can sell the other one and make some money from him.... *yadda yadda - at this point I'm not listening*
Me: "I really don't know Jas... not such an awesome idea but you can LOOK."
Jason: "Okay - I gotta go - that guy is calling!"

2 hours pass... "FRONT DOOR - OPEN" my alarm shouts at me. In walks Jason empty handed.

Me: "So, were the pups not cute?"
Jason: "No"
Me: "Soooo.... ummm... were they dead?"
Jason: "No, just come here"

*at this point I realize there is something wrong when he didn't walk in with a bundle in his arms like he had anticipated*

We approach the car and huddled on the floor board, are two balls of fur, shaking, bone thin, and scared to their wits end. I holler for Gracie to go get me a towel and I pick up the little boy. As I snuggle this new little creature, I notice that his countenance is rather low. He must have been through a lot... My heart absolutely ached. Jason began to relay the story of how they showed up delivered in an old beater van from the 70's, in a tiny crate, covered in crap... just a mess...

*it's sad, trust me*

Their bones shivering on themselves, their little bodies covered in urine and poo... It was so sad. The little boy then took a poop on the patio and I saw that it wasn't solid. On closer examination, yeah... worms! I scooped them up and took them to the bathroom, I hollered for Grace to bring me puppy 'poo and some towels so I could get them squeaky clean and get them ready for a vet.

Once they were wet, I realized how thin, how neglected and how disgusted I was that this puppy mill is selling puppies. The thoughts just started rolling through my mind as to what these little tiny creatures had been put through... I got teary eyed and hollered for Jason to call a vet! He couldn't find a phone book and asked which of my friends would be home and able to search... Jodie was home and gave us the number...

I told Jason to tell the lady who he was talking to that we got puppy mill puppies, they were skin and bones, and had worms... They said they would see us in 45 minutes. We packed up and got in the car and made it to the vet.

An hour later, we were seen. Boy puppy - 8.2 pounds - girl puppy - 12.4 pounds... The puppies didn't have the look of Parvo - thank heavens, but were so dehydrated and starving that they each had to have fluids pumped under their skin... yeah. *do you hear my vet bill??* Then they had to be de-wormed again... and the office visit to get in the door... Yeah. I don't know if someone will buy the poor puppy from us for what we even invested in it. They're such good dogs when they're grown, it's going to be a lot on me emotionally to try to invest time into making them safe/secure with adults and to get them fat again.

If you know someone who wants a dog - a good dog for the investment in the long run... let me know... I'm selling for 150.00...

I mean, who couldn't rescue both dogs who had such an uncertain future... well - probably dead if we hadn't picked them up.

173.2 - And forbidden fruit

So, my awesome friend Amy went and bought some really great fruit yesterday and in the process bought some for me as well. Two of my most favorite things... apricots (for apricot jam) and fresh - farm fresh Cherries... Amy was sweet enough to have me over to teach me how to can jam... it was really cool to learn something. I've got the recipe for apricot jam down pat.

FYI

5 Cups Apricot Slop

1/4 C (a little less than) Lemon Juice

1 packet of pectin - the yellow box

7 Cups Sugar (A LOT!)

1 Tablespoon butter - in case you get foamy

you bring the apricot slop with the lemon juice and pectin to a rolling boil - then add all the sugar - bring to rolling boil again - then 1 minute of rolling boil - and BACK UP! It SPLATTERS! Then you put the stuff in jars, turn the jars upside down on a towel for 10 mins and bingo bango - 24 hours later - you eat it... if you're not on a diet.

With the results of the diet being pretty darn good this morning, I can't help but feel vindicated that the 7 cherries I managed to savor yesterday didn't blow my diet. But, I used to be a cherry loving fool, especially when I was pregnant with Faith.

I came home last night hungry and sad, and Yelo gave me some solace. I brushed out his coat with a new brush I bought and worked in some doggy leave-in conditioner. Something soothing about that dog. He's a special guy. I had a dozen baby carrots steamed, two small pieces of cauliflower and 1/2 cup cottage cheese and went to bed. It was neat to know Yelo was there. I could put my hand out in the middle of the night and pet him while I waited to go back to sleep.

This morning I haven't got in my workout yet. I'm waiting for the smell of this morning's cinnamon rolls to air out, and then I'll be alright, for a while....

Yelo (pronounced like Yellow)

Meet Yelo!

Yelo is definately mellow. We love him! We found him way of craigslist on a feverish search for a Golden for months. He's definately perfect for this family...

So here's my boy. He had a bath today and didn't mind it - we brushed him out really good and the kids laid down next to him and cat napped. It was sweet. Definately a great dog... we feel too lucky! He even lets Aubrey shower him with kisses several times an hour!

Thank you Macy for the wonderful gift of Yelo. I'm praying all works out well for you and we'll be in touch!

Yesterday.... 175.8

It felt hopeless.

I went to see the surgeons assistant to get some guidance on what to do to get my 10% off - which now is nearly ugh - I just know 20 lbs is more than I can handle. It's so unforgiving, this world of being fat. Seriously. When I weighed, I about passed the hell out! 175.8 - that's honest folks and I think that's what Jason weighed when we got married. I've consistently put on about 12-13 pounds a year... and I HATE IT. At this rate - in another 5 years... I am headed for heffer city.

Yesterday I bawled all the way home and really re-thought my list of foods I am allowed to eat. Chicken, Tuna (plain - yuck), Salmon (YUCK!!), veggies though no potatoes or corn, salad, NO MAYO and NO FRUIT! I think after being on a bazillion diets, I would really like to think I know a bit more about how my body loses weight than they do. This is just a hyper condensed diet for people with little self control.

So I've made my shopping list, I've got things on there they didn't tell me I could have but I am sure with what I've got planned - SOMETHING is gonna happen. I hope that by the time I drop 10, he'll be happy with that and just let me go. I mean really, I am on the SUPER SMALL end of Fat Girl Surgery spectrum, though I think being this much smaller makes it that much harder to keep weight down and off....

Grumble.

This morning I woke up early - and had a bit of good sleep - sleeping by myself in one of the kids abandoned rooms on an air mattress. I did a 20 minute Turbo Jam work out, took a shower, and now I've gotta go shopping.

God if you can hear me.... will power please? I "will" do this... I "will" do this

You know me by now....

My day has been chaotic, intense, full of tears, and 10 broken eggs later (thanks Faith) I'm blogging because I'm the only person who feels sorry for me, well rather, should feel sorry for me.

It's emotionally wearing on a person to be "fat" or nothing more than a woman with "a pretty face" - I mean - What the hell! Are you that freaking retarted that you can't see there are volumes more to me than just the ouside?! I am like an onion... I have layers and some might be an overwhelming stinky attitude at times but I sure add an awesome flavor to life.

I need sleep. I've got so much coming up here in the next few weeks I need to keep my head together....

*yawn*

Maybe a nap...

My Celebrity Crush Emailed Me!

He posted a myspace blog about how he's doing with his training and with what's going on with the traveling. A comment he wrote really shocked me. He said "When it’s all said and done, that’s what I want to be known as. I don’t do this for the glitz and glamour or the hype that some other fighters do it for. To me, I honestly believe that I was put on this Earth for a bigger reason, and I’m trying to figure that out." I was floored. If you've ever heard this man speak, seriously, he's smart, humble, and comes from such a rough background that you'd never imagine a rise to success like his. So I wrote him and told him from my heart what I thought what his 'big reason on Earth was.

This is what I wrote:

From: Amy Date: Jul 14, 2008 2:44 AM

Knowing your story and your background shows an example to the world. It makes a lot of sense to me why you are here. You are such a role model to the lost young men of the world, who have so much anger and animosity towards the unknown or known in their lives.

You really have come from nothing, but do it with everything you have in you. I've seen you fight live, I've met you a few times in person... and I know the character you have in you is speaking volumes to the kids who are watching what you do.

Your success will propel you to heights where you are able to teach the world what a difference you can make in the lives of kids, if you only invest some time into teaching them the better life. You have the gift, the platform, the voice to do it Roger, you do.

You've lived a hard life... You live a dedicated life now. You are an example of what a fighter should be, both in the ring and in real life. You fought your way out of poverty and nothingness... to stand on a worldwide platform and be seen. This attention you bring to the sport, will bring attention to you and your mission.

I hope you see that, Roger. You inspire so many, including myself, to be bigger and better, and to try harder, to never give up.

You'll whoop the hell outta BJ - just keep focused and doing what you do so well... you'll be there soon, I called it a year ago! ;0)

Best of luck my friend, Amy

And to my astonishment, he wrote back... I was floored... I heart Huerta!

Jul-10-2008 El Matador's March to UFC 87- Week one

Body:
thank you soo much for that... really thatnk you... im trying and ill keep trying.. but seriously your message ment a lot. thank you, and god bless..roger

I love the spelling errors, I do. It's all very real.

I betcha bucks I have good dreams tonight.

Other than that - I went to a pre-op seminar. I was by far the smallest person in the room and people were acting disgruntled towards me for it... I dunno. I'm pushing forward. I might be going under in as soon as 6 weeks. Fingers crossed that this brings me a better life, better health, better outlook on my future.

Fighting my way there...

I am up late, I know

Jason is at work, doubling tonight and I'm wired awake because I had a nap this afternoon! SCORE! I have a celebrity crush... I have stranger than strange dreams about said crush and choose not to share them with my husband because he might forbid me from seeing my crush anymore. I suppose it doesn't help I've met him a few times in person either... but he's gorgeous, well spoken, and *sigh* flat out dreamy...
In the UFC he's a great fighter - gracious champion - I love him. If he mounts you, you're toast... I know I'd be spent if he mounted me... *blush* He fights soon, and I wish him the best of luck

I heart Huerta

Let me think...

It's a beautiful Sunday evening... I've had a rough weekend with allergies, more-so Aubrey has horrible allergies, but we're getting along fine. I guess we can't sleep with the windows open at night because when Aubrey wakes up in the morning, it looks like someone's socked her in the eye! Poor kid. So - back on Claritin for her and the red be gone eyedrops and she's doing okay.

I went walking yesterday with Gretchen at the Sage Valley Middle School track for 45 mins and then this morning, I pushed the babies in their stroller for a half hour. I'm hoping to lose some of my lumps. It's going to take time. I've got to be patient with myself.

I made a batch - double batch of chocolate chip oatmeal craisin cookies. One cookie I made the size of my Pampered Chef pizza stone. I think I will gift it away... I'd rather not get fat from that.

On the upswing... we're looking at trading in our Durango for something I can let the kids crawl into themselves. I'm tired of the SUV life. It's cool, but I'd rather be practical now.

*sigh*

Oh yes, I thought I started last week. No. I didn't - some wierd thing happened. If I don't get a good start by tomorrow, I'm calling my doctor and asking her to call in some lab work so I can see what's the matter - and maybe have her check my cholesterol and thyroid while I am at it.

*Ohhhhhh the life*

Thrusting Elbows and Flapping Gums

Yes, you heard me right. I woke up this morning to go walk as far as I could in 45 minutes time with Mandy. I forgot that I was no longer the high school or junior high cross country runner and have succumbed to 2 pregnancies 9 months and 10 days apart - thanks for the math Jill - and the sloppy mess that used to be an abdominal wall is just that... a sloppy mess. I felt like Jello could use my stomach for a commercial. I've definately got the wiggle in the middle.

So with all that was in me - and Mandy - we talked and walked the entire time. I figure being up at 6 am is something I am doing for ME... before the holy terrors are awake! ACK! There have been too many times I've put myself last on the list and invested all into my children. It's time to give myself some time, invest some serious thought into what I expect, and stick to something because I deserve to be better.

My mother and husband have both conspired against me... they're hoping I feel that there's "another one" to be had... are you kidding me?! I am the sickest pregnant woman ever! Hopefully God has a sense of humor and will let me be happy with what I've got.

*pause* Aubrey just wiped a booger on my elbow. I suppose her sleeve wasn't good enough, bare skin rocks!

*resume* Anyway - today should be interesting. I want to get some weed killing done and hopefully I don't get burned, but getting some sun on my pasty white body would be fabulous!

Until next time

BE FIERCE!

I just had a revelation

I think sometimes, the things that we miss aren't the "things" - rather, it's the association with the feeling we had while we were involved with them/it/him/her.

*damn leg fell asleep while I was reading the news on the internet and it's PAINFUL!*

Anyway - I was thinking today what makes us so fond of the past? Really and truthfully... it's the emotions tied to it. Like old loves, favorite foods, deceased family members, etc. Emotions really run strong and deep. Things we can get tied to also are songs that conjure feelings... the first slow song, love making music, the first kiss, "remember that one time at the bar?" music... times now since past that are buried deep under the hard surface of here and now.

When I get lonely or frustrated, I find myself revisiting those times, places, and people that I miss... and tap into that emotion. I just wish I knew how to shut the door and be okay with not having to get one last visit to get closure... Some things I know it's not just once more I'd like - it's forever....

Closure...

Maybe the next life...

I'm only human

My life is...

* an open book
* rather insane at times
* non-stop
* unforgettable
* chaotic at best
* full of great friends
* starting in a new home that's all mine
* strange at how things have worked themselves out.

Today was definately an off day. I passed a kidney stone at about 11 am this morning. I'm used to passing sand sized ones about once a week... but there's still a rather large booger in my kidney, the right one to be exact, that's cramping up that kidney and making it the achiest miserable body part at the moment.

My kids are still fighting with themselves. I think having all sorts of company here for a week and their schedules being "off" is the main reason they're "off"

Last night I had the opportunity to take my daughter, Grace, and her friend Emma, out to dinner at Mc Donalds. Emma said she "loves Mc Donalds and never gets to go because her siblings out vote her for Carls Jr." Grace just likes the toys they have right now, though I think they're rediculous... but that's besides the point. What else are you supposed to do when you're just turning 7 and the world is still your oyster? They giggled and talked through most of their meal... mostly eating the apple dippers and their sodas were being swallowed by the tankfulls. They were soon done and elated to go shopping with me at Target where they had foot races near the toilet paper, played pretend and picked out a coloring book to color....

When we came home, it was time for fingers, toes and hair... Grace requested they look like princesses for her birthday party. So they had this hot fuschia pink color on their fingers and toes and a pretty crown-ish type of ponytail done... they enjoyed that a lot. I guess their fun was too much fun and kept them cranked til 230 - yes that's AM...

All I know is, when I went to sleep over, I was excited to sleep... I guess times are changing and so is my little girl. Soon she'll be all grown up and she may not remember this, but so long as I'm blogging, I can capture this moment she felt on top of the world and share it with her later.

My life is awesome....

only sometimes.

This says it all

Gross, GROSS water...

It's been a rough day. 'Twas the first day without my mother here and the kids are all nuts, bouncing off the walls nuts, because they can't find my mom. I had to finally tell them that Nana is at work, that's the truth, and that she'll come "bizit" again soon.

After nearly accomplishing all my shopping at Target and Costco today, I decided that chopping off one's fingers might actually be more fun than shopping with my three daughters. Yes daughters, not sons. I actually think if I had boys they'd be easier, because you come to expect nonsense like running around, screaming, biting and hitting to be "normal boy behavior" - but no, it's just the genetics in my family and Jas' are just um - errr - errm - uh

they don't mix well. I'll just leave it at that.

So I thought it would be a good idea to wear them out in the Boise River water in Middleton... That was just flat out nasty gross gross gross gross - did I say gross? GROSS water. I stood at the edge of the bank and about hurled into it... it was that bad. I then asked the children 'Who wants to go home and slip -n- slide?!' "I DO! I DO!!" *TAH DUH!!* I WON! Nasty water 0 Amy 1 WOOOOOOTT~!

I've got to go flat iron my hair.... something I never thought I would do because my hair is naturally straight, but once it's short, and the heat hits it... I'm a wavy wonder. Putting on my fierce face today to look legit when I take my daughter and her friend Emma out is totally the goal. Yoga pants and a sloppy boot camp tee will NOT work for today.... sorry.

Still figuring out this insane life....

*smirks*

Why I think a garden tub is called a garden tub...

As required per the C.C. & R's of development life, we are required to have 5 one gallon shrubs and preferably two trees in our front yard within 30 days of move-in. I like to think I'm a bit of a brown noser and a lousy green thumb I might add, but I wanted to be teachers pet and get in my shrubs!

Mom and I went to Lowe's while she was here and bought some fierce shrubs. I have three boxwood - correct me if I'm wrong Mandy - and an awesome Japanese Snowball tree/shrub thingie. Yes, I am down one shrub, but I have these awesome trees I have ordered from the Arbor Day Foundation and they will be here soon, and my front yard is itsy bitsy, and the back yard is MONSTROUS... so, it will all sort it's self out soon enough. Anyway, back to the good stuff.

Mom and I got to planting with all of a garden trowel and our bare hands in the most horrendous clay mud garbage I have ever had the priviliege of planting in. (FYI - for those of you who don't know, I hate outdoors, I hate camping, I hate water - with the exception of a shower, and I pretty much hate gardening, unless it's something to do with the Garden Tub in my bathroom) I was such a horrible mess with planting... I lost a flip flop in the sticky mud and had clay dirt underneath my fingernails... I about lost it, no really - about *---* this close to losing it.

I had decided then, I needed to get the kids playing outside and get myself clean at the same time. What other way is so awesome than to do "white trash slip-n-slide" on the front lawn in our new development. And, yes, I did demonstrate to my children....... and yes, my mother had her video camera running.... I can see it now. Bill Engvall is going to have a good laugh at me. So after digging in the treacherous mud and sliding on the grass I am allergic to... I decided to soak in the garden tub.

I laid in the hot water of my tub, soaking away the grossness of what had recently transpired and it hit me. This, my friends and faithful readers is why it is called a garden tub... because I brought the garden to the tub with me! HA HA HA! That's about as close to nature as I like to get. God forbid I'm ever asked to live off of a garden I grow... I figure, that's what I've got sod for, right?

Leaving On A Jet Plane...

I'm not certain yet what to give this blog for a name yet, though I'm sure it will come to me soon. It's been an emotional day for me as I put my mother back on a plane to California. As I write this, she's probably in air now and teary eyed knowing the next time she will likely visit, my kids will be one year older and she will have missed quite a bit of growing up.

This morning, I woke up, checked the time and did the math for the countdown hours until my mom had to go home. The tension - emotional tension - in the air was thick. I felt like falling apart at any given moment but tried my best to hold it together for my mom and kids. Knowing that my children will be asking for Nana at bedtime in 4 hours is gonna be hard to explain to the little ones. They know that they had their Nana here, and we took her to the airport just like Jimmy and Cody... but I don't think that they understand the next time they see her it will likely be a long time.

On the way to the airport, I stopped at the Sonic in Nampa to treat my mom one last time, because there's no Sonic in California yet, though now I hear they're building one in Victorville... It was sad though, to sit there in the car with my mom, knowing I was driving her away.

When we got to the airport, she gave her sad good-byes and I love you's to the kids while I loaded her luggage to the curb. I remember thinking, I can just load her back up and take her with me.... she doesn't have to go. When it came time to hug mom goodbye, I cried and cried. I remember whispering in her ear, 'you don't have to go mom...' and she just cried. After the I love you's and the adieus, she was off through the small Boise airport terminal and I was on the highway, trying my best to comfort my crying children and myself while driving home...

I'm horribly foggy eyed while writing this... I'll write more tonight or tomorrow about the things I said I would catch you faithful readers on...

*for now, just a bit of pillow time to cry it out and a little prayer to make it through the night*

I need to get something down before I forget...

I have a list of things I need to blog about... so to keep me on track when I get time next week after my mom has returned to the land of sin... I'll get to my normal blogging pattern.

-Flights
-Job Interviews
-Skating
-Trolley Tour of Boise
-Intelligence, anyone?
-Grace turns 7!
-" I crapt, mom" & why we don't feed near 3 year olds loads of dehydrated fruit
- Grace barfing in my durango
-Kites
-4th of July... whack
- SMOKED OUT

The above stories will take ages to write, but at least now, I'm publically accountable for them...
