So, if you don't know me by now... welcome to my world of late night - or rather, early morning posting. I'm alive and well, but not feeling safe. The sounds of my house settling are rather unsettling, and the wind and rain beating my windows and the sides of my house are un-nerving at best.
I have, however, discovered the joy in my Samsung Blu-Ray player. I live stream Netflix right to my box... and Pandora (internet radio stations) catered to me. Right now I've got my Pilot Speed (formerly Pilate) on the radio, and it takes me to a soothing, safe place. I think I will fall asleep listening to this stuff... it's all too good...
Sometimes, my mind is full of nonsense, that my logical self tries to figure out and re-work a bazillion times. Like, what about people from your past? What ever happens to them? Should I care? I think to an extent, but not at the level my brain is just overprocessing things lately. Deep inside me, I think there's a longing for closure. Just to know that someone is okay, happy, and that their life is existing without me. Then again, I'd love to know someone is miserable and made the worst decision ever leaving me, unfriending me, or letting me "get away." I suppose that when life is over, we will have the opportunity to look back and reflect on the many stupid, crazy, irresponsible things we have done with hopes that the good we have given to the world, the good we lived, will outweigh the lack of judgement and moments of weakness.
If I stood before my maker, and looked Him in the face, my biggest shame is an occasional foul mouth... with a close tie of reading gossip. Faults I am sure I can be forgiven of, or even outgrow here shortly. Shortcomings are only things we lean on because of other weakness. I suppose I lack the ability to think through everything I say before it leaves my lips. If I did, I would certainly be able to clean up my act. If I spent more time with my nose in a good book, instead of reading garbage online, I might learn something or enlighten my mind...
However, I do know....
This life is no joke. Handle with care, thought, and love.
We exist for a reason, for a purpose, for a season.
We are who we are, and who we are is who we are meant to be.
