Jason left this morning, Grandpa's Funeral today
Alone with the kids, on my own so to say.
A bit of anxiety, a little fear...
I think I can make it with my friends who stay near.
My thoughts are a bit noisy, though speak their peace...
And I'm glad they do, or I might not get sleep.
Alone on a day like today couldn't be more cold,
Wishing that I had somebody to hold.
Banish away my lonliness and the fear...
And God, don't forget, please keep us near.

ReplyDeleteYeah, my house will be pretty quiet (or maybe MORE noisy) because Jeff will be gone pretty much every week through the end of April, maybe May.
